
Jazmine is a Philadelphia native was raised and born there. Pam her mother has been a backup singer in the past at Philadelphia International Records. Her father gave an opportunity to be the curator for the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She and her family then made the move to the historic place of historical significance. She is a 2005 graduate from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in which she was the vocal music instructor. Sullivan started singing as a contralto in the choir for children, and then shortly after, she was a part of the adult choir. Sullivan was not exposed secular music initially. "I began singing in solos in church, and somebody suggested I sign up to record a gospel song when I turned 11. But I wasn't prepared to do that," she says. Then, McDonald's held a contest with children from large cities. I was allowed to sing "Accept What God Allows" during the show Showtime At the Apollo. And the public was extremely supportive. At the age 13 she sang along to Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan was first signed to Jive Records at the age fifteen. At the age of 15 she signed with Jive Records. The label recorded her entire album in Jive Records. However, it didn't get made available for release. Sullivan was later dismissed at the hands of the company. The singer maintained a relationship with Missy Elliott, who produced many of the tracks from her debut, including the buzz single "Backstabbers" - produced by Timbaland and composed by Elliott.
